It might have been a lot more emotional if we did this ‘live’ on air this Sunday. But because I’m flying to Beijing for a media junket this weekend, we recorded Pick of the Pops 醉心龍虎榜 this morning, after tabulating the results last night. At the end of the programme on Sunday, I shall become former POTP Host. Passé. Past tense. History. Hahaha.

My predecessors received the appointment either via phone or email. They might have silently mouthed their displeasure when I was featured in a fancy handover ceremony back then. It wasn’t something anyone expected or planned for. It was simply because we happened to stage a POTP anniversary concert then, and we just made use of the ready stage.

The reality of leaving the show hasn’t really sunk in yet. I’ve been doing chart shows all my life — Global Chinese Music Chart from 2001 to 2007, and then Pick of the Pops from 2005. It was unprecedented then to have the same person anchoring both chart shows. Yes, wow. The idea of taking a picture during the last recording was dropped, mainly because I wasn’t groomed this morning. And while it’s the end of an era — no more chart shows for me! — the fact remains that I am still in Radio. We’ll leave the drama bit when I leave the morning show ok?

頂尖流行音樂電台Y.E.S. 93.3FM宣布：丁志勇正式退出「醉心龍虎榜」主持行列；新晉DJ鐘坤華9月接任榜主，與蕭嘉蕙共同主持新加坡最具權威的中文歌曲排行榜。

丁志勇在2005年6月，從馮慧詩手中接過重任。他回憶道：“據說，我是唯一一個在大型舞台上接過主持棒的人。之前幾位都埋怨，他們只接了通電話，就成為榜主了，沒什麼風光的就職典禮。”他表示，最難忘2008年籌備「醉心龍虎榜」25週年慶祝活動的點點滴滴。

933高級節目總監馮慧詩說：“「醉心龍虎榜」不僅是反映本地音樂潮流的一線節目，也是海外唱片公司與媒體參考的指標。榜上走勢直接影響「新加坡金曲獎」以及「全球華語歌曲排行榜」頒獎典禮的成績，說明本榜的重要性。過去七年，志勇為「醉心龍虎榜」付出許多，可是在希望讓排行榜節目注入新元素與新動力的前提下，決定了這輪的調動。志勇將轉任「醉心龍虎榜」編導，與兩位榜主嘉蕙和坤華繼續打造這個本地最長壽的中文電台節目。”

鐘坤華得知自己即將出任榜主時難掩興奮之情，並承諾將全力以赴。 “大家都聽著「醉心龍虎榜」長大。從當年剪固本投票的聽眾到如今揭曉成績的主持人，我覺得太不可思議了。我會很認真地做好這份工作！”蕭嘉蕙亦表示，期待與新搭檔擦出新火花。
