It’s Friday and I’m in Taipei!
14 November 2008 Friday | 2008/11 Taiwan

The flight to Taoyuan International Airport was rather bumpy with frequent announcements from the cockpit asking passengers to fasten their seatbelts and not to use the lavatory.

It’s 1.49am and I’m at Meilian’s house blogging on her laptop.

I walked out of the shower earlier and sheepishly told the owner I had somehow dislodged her shower curtain. She rolled her eyes, “Whatever. I’m just glad you didn’t fall down in my toilet.” And she slapped her forehead a second time when I told her I forgot my toothbrush. “You think I run a mama shop here isit?!” She’s going to work in a few hours’ time and she’s still busy entertaining the many last minute requests of her four guests.

Off to Taiwan!
12 November 2008 Wednesday | 2008/11 Taiwan

I’ll leave for Taiwan right after my morning show tomorrow. WOOHOO!

We’ve booked a table at one of my favourite restaurants- 原燒 tomorrow night, and we’ll head to 嘉義 and 台中 for the weekend. After returning to 台北 to meet up with the second group, we’ll stay at 花蓮 for a night. WOOHOO!

I haven’t decided if I’m bringing my laptop. In case I don’t, you’ll have to make do with my blog archives.

Cya!

Edit at 11.10pm:

We’re all very busy people (haha!), so there’s a rather complicated passenger list this time.

HG and GT depart at 7am tomorrow;
LZ, HY, JT and I depart at 12pm tomorrow;
HG and GT return next Monday;
HH and WN depart next Tuesday;
JT and I return next Friday;
LZ, HY, HH and WN return next Sunday.

I was about to ask HG to print the e-ticket when I realised that we were on different flights.

Half an hour later,

HG:
Ok, I’m going to the office now. Work through the night and board the plane tomorrow.

Cruz:
See ya in Taipei!

HG:
Btw, I’ll leave your e-ticket at the airport.

Cruz:
What?!

HG:
McDonalds. 2nd table on the right.
I’ll stick your ticket underneath. Go collect tomorrow yeah?

Edit at 11:40pm:

Because we’ll venture out of Taipei early Friday morning, we’ll be staying at a friend’s place tomorrow night.

Five minutes ago,

Dorin:
I’m going to shower! Just finished washing the toilet.

Cruz:
Wahahhahah so that I can move my bowels in comfort?

Dorin:
Of course!

Cruz:
Wah seh, so touched.

Dorin:
Safe flight. Cya tml!

Edit at 12.52am:

I’m anticipating low temperature and humidity in Taiwan so I bought a tube of lip balm today. I just discovered I threw the thing into the rubbish chute an hour ago. Damn.
