2001年開始主持五年半的〈全球華語歌曲排行榜〉、也分別在上海、台北和新加坡主持過〈全球榜頒奬典禮〉，我對這個節目和活動是特別有感情的。由北京、廣東、香港、上海、台北、馬來西亞和新加坡電台主辦的全球榜頒奬儀式今天在香港電台舉行。08年天災不斷，華人地區電台投入大量資源救災。因此，主辦方決定以簡單莊重的記者會取代原有奢華的頒奬典禮。
北京台今天下午宴請各台代表。前幾年都和相識的海外DJ坐在一塊兒，天南地北講個沒完。本台高層今年缺席，我就“升格”到了主賓席和各台首席代表打招呼。深深的酒窩便是最佳的破冰道具。:) 之前還擔心會underdress。結果。。。我。。。至少人家會說我尊重大會。哈哈。

下午3點08分，儀式開始。香港電台第二台和普通話台現場直播。大批媒體和歌迷聚集在廣播道的香港電台演播室。剛在〈新加坡金曲獎〉拿下‘最佳本地歌手獎’的蔡健雅和我在一旁，等待一分鐘後上台啟動頒奬儀式並立刻揭曉〈全球榜〉‘新加坡地區傑出歌手獎’成績。
Cruz：
Do you understand Cantonese?
Tanya：
No!
Cruz：
Me too. Ok, we monkey see monkey do.
Tanya：
Ok ok.
香港電台的司儀分別用華語和廣東話主持。其中一人忽然通過麥克風用廣東話和我們兩人講了幾句話。
Tanya：
What did she say?
Cruz：
I have no idea. Oh no! What are we supposed to do?
Tanya：
Phototaking is it? Look in front and smile!
哈哈哈！！！
蔡健雅最終獲頒6項大奬：傳媒推薦女歌手獎、最佳專輯（Goodbye & Hello）、最佳專輯製作人（Goodbye & Hello）、年度廿大金曲（達爾文）、新加坡傑出歌手、最受歡迎女歌手五強。小寒憑〈達爾文〉獲最佳作詞。
