Ok, I was exaggerating. I won’t die from the cough. Not yet anyway.
But I was in risk of bursting a blood vessel this afternoon. Imagine the frustration of driving around for an hour, wasting time, effort and petrol, and then not achieving anything. And there was that full bladder and empty stomach. Enough to make me scowl.
Come on! Was it so difficult for a sick man to stock up for CNY?!
No, I wasn’t buying CNY goodies. I needed medication.

Acute Pharyngitis, otherwise known as sore throat: Cleared.
Rhinorrhea, otherwise known as runny nose: Cleared.
But I’m still nursing a rather bad cough. It’s not anything serious. It’s just very troublesome, annoying and difficult for people who talk (or sing- *nudge Stefanie Sun*) for a living.
You might have heard me coughing in the background on air these few days. It’s a very tedious procedure really. Jiahui has to go on talking, while I turn off my microphone, cover the headset (which is centimeters away from my mouth) with my left hand and cough into my right elbow. This isn’t an absolute foolproof method to avoid spreading my germs to the rest of them, but it’s the best I can do.
Well, I can go on medical leave if you/they want me to! Hahaha.
The clinic is probably going to close for CNY. And I don’t fancy running around and perhaps paying extra to see a doctor during the holidays. I wanted to get another pack of medicine but I couldn’t get a parking lot. Oh man. And I had to drive to two malls before I could finally get off the car and walk into a pharmacy.
That little bottle of cough syrup should suffice. Hopefully.
In other news, I had to cancel the annual CNY Eve Mahjong Session. Sick people won’t get well if they stay up overnight, right? And I’ll have to inform my parents that I probably can’t 守岁 for them this year. I’ll make up for it other ways.

take care! speedy recovery!
