第一次
25 September 2009 Friday | 19:27 | Concerts,

Fine.

HUH?

“BOOOOOO!

Hmm…,this is very unfair to you.If you were given the chance to go on stage this will not have happen,at least not leaving the artistes standing on stage looking starlted.Nevertheless, you have done a great job!!So do give yourself *a pat on the back*…:)

I was thinking how come so stupid don’t know how to use the emcees to help the situation? Anyway, I was part of the boo-ing crowd but personally I boo-ed the poor sound system and the bad handling. Not you. Cheer up!

Stay good!

Either the organizers (foreigners?) are using Asians Stars as testing ground to prepare for the “big shots” in the next 2 days or they have mental block, A = A, B = B.

Feel so bad for sodagreen, ah mei and jackie. 1st super bad experience in the 1st Singapore F1 Concert. Maybe they should use look into getting the Locals to organize next yr concerts (if going to have).

Well… situations do happen… I wasn’t there at the concert but judging from what my friends who went (their experience), I think they might host the next F1 rocks somewhere else other than Fort Canning next time?…

And from the bad publicity from this first concert, who would want to attend again next year?

Blame it on the organising committee for the bad light. Not on the hosts and the kings and queens of pop.

OMG ! Why so many things happen during the F1 Rocks Concert… It should be a happy event where you can hear all the song sang out by 大嘴巴, 苏打绿,阿妹和张学友 but why it become a angry event ??? Didn’t the production team do some planning before the concert… I think it’s unfair for you kenna scolded and boo by the audience… Don’t worry you are still the best DJ in Yes 933 de… You still got so many 听众 who will support your morning show de ! Don’t care about all those negative comments as you have done your best for F1 Rock Concert. Just cheer up k and go play some mahjong with your friends during the weekend and win some money back to cheer yourself up… =)

The problem lies in the choice of location, the choice of organizers. Maybe the agency pushing for all this should have given it some though. Concentrating everything in the Central Area, great. But make sure such glitches doesnt happen, since it would affect the impression of others as well. Perhaps, they should have held it elsewhere where there’s better equipment. We are well connected by public transport anw. Just hope that the artistes and audiences will not take it too hard.

You too, Cruz. Cheer up :) It is definitely not your problem. Everybody knows that :)

gosh…when i was reading i feel so bad for you cruz….your just an innocent party caught in the crossfire…and it was all the stupid organisers fault for not allowing you to do what you could have done….damn. they made all the super awesome legends and super awesome bands angry, and they made you feel bad. lousy unprepared dis-organizers.

cruz we’re on your side!! it was by no way your bad….you could have salvage the situation easily and charmed the audience. just feel so indignant for you and the mega stars and bands of the night whom we love.

I was there too, was standing quite in front
They dont meant to “boo” you, more like “boo-ing” the organisers for being so inefficient
Really dont understand why they are so not prepared

I think many people are pissed off the moment they reached fort canning, the location is really…. …

In fact, like what you mentioned, I was thinking why you never come to stage to save the situation (ok, at least now i know why)

Was really excited to see A Mei and Jacky Cheung, end up in this kind of situation
But no worries, cheer up ya =)

the location was ok… i just couldn’t understand why they had to make us walk up and down the hill just to get to the stage. And imagine having to pour away or drink up all the water in your water bottle. I can understand the no outside drinks policy but no plain water??? and we had to stand for so many hours!!! Did they want us to kenna dehydrated???

it’s not your fault. Take it as a lesson learnt that some organisers just dont have the experience to handle unforseen circumstances. It is all part of the experience in hosting.

as it happened that you were there at that point.
as it was just a wrong place at the wrong time.
as it was the professionals meeting the whatever-term-you-name-it.
    u have done your best.

PS. if this gonna be a yearly event,
organizer shld hv professionals to execute
the events logistics, which is equally
important as the F1 race itself. and the
organizer shld at least convey its apologies (and learned)
when the after-action review is conducted.

I was at the concern, the audience are very unhappey with the organizer, not you.. dun worry, you did well. You are right, you should copme out the the time, nott leaving sodagreen on stage!! Honestly speaking, We we so shock at that moment,, just like someone pooring the cold water to us..

I totally agree with Ang Ku Kueh. I think the organizers are using OUR Asian stars to test the stage for the ang moh stars… Totally disrespectful and shitty!

It’s not your fault Cruz and none of the artistes’ fault. I wouldn’t want Jacky to return for this show anymore, I know he made special efforts for this performance and left super disappointed!

Cruz, Hope you are one of the three who won the TOTO 9.75M yesterday . Then you can dun need to suffer such thing next year if you are ask to host again. You can reject them no matter how much they offer. By the way, Can you DJ reject any hosting job or not. if can black list this organizer.

    September 27, 2009 00:57

We were definitely not booing at u. Just upset at why the organising was so lousy and why weren’t u and jiahui allowed to come out and entertain us. At least the atmosphere would have been lightened if u and jiahui were there to joke us us while waiting. If it wasn’t because the last performance was by jacky cheung, i would have left already. As if it wasn’t enough that we had been standing for 5 hours plus. Don’t be too upset ok? Definitely nobody blames u and jiahui. All the while the thoughts on our minds were ang moh plan events also so lousy one ah? Though they were supposed to be good in everything???

i waited and waited until my legs were aching lor!!
they should hold the f1 rocks concert at S’pore Expo…
    gt aircon and seats.
pple buy $150+ for the ticket, ended up hv to stand & wait…
    furthermore,gt hiccup for e performances…
    somemore,a-mei’s mic wasnt working..
    she sang for e 1st song entirely,yet didnt settle e mic’s problem.
like nt worth it lor!! >.< the management was really suck!!
    they did things v…….slow!!
care for themselves, instead of care for others!!

they said entrance starts at 5pm.
since they can only start the concert at 7pm+, then they shuld state 7pm wah~~~
at least the audience can take their time to hv makan or wadsoever.
i went there with an empty stomach lor!!

somemore e management didnt state tat “dont bring foods, drinks, umbrella etc..” beforehand.
i heard people complaining at the entrance.

i gave negative comment on the pink survey form!
    hahahahahas! suck till e core.

    ur hosting is real good.
they refrained u frm gg up to e stage.
no wonder i was thinking how come the hosts didnt “救一下”.
    u knw wad i mean?

ang-moh has their own style of dealing
    and i seriously dont like.
since they r in singapore, they shuld do “asian-style”..

    when i read ur post,
that bad experience came to my mind again & im fuming mad again….

thanks for telling us the 幕後的點點滴滴.
how i wish i can 親自 hear 青峰 said FUCK YOU & 歌神’s gloomy look. :)

just my own p.o.v and experience .

not saying this to help anyone.

normally concert entrances will open 2 hrs or more prior to the opening of a concert ,

so its not wrong of them to put entrances open at 5pm ,

even at Singapore Indoor Stadium and Expo ,

doors open at least 1 1/2 hrs before the show starts to facilitate with the crowd coming in ,

what more this is an outdoor concert ,

all the more doors must open earlier .

as for the food and drinks part ,

imagine if you guys had been able to bring in food and drinks ,

with all the unhappiness that you guys experienced ,

i won’t be surprised some pple will start throwing bottles and stuff like that,

so it was for the safety of everyone that this was enforced ,

      as i said ,

its the same for Indoor Stadium and Expo .

since they had to publicise this as the “FIRST” F1 Rocks concert ever in history (quoted from Da Mouth), the organisers should have planned it better. (who are the organisers by the way? its really bad organising)…anyway dont feel too bad about the booing, they were definitely for the lousy organisers.

like since Da Mouth started singing everything was uber wrong =.= couldnt hear aisha, then sodagreen blackout, then couldnt hear amei, then 40 minute interval for jacky cheung.

and yeah….they should have told us that we couldn’t bring drinks or what, so i could have drunk more water before going in! the stupid softdrinks were so expensive!

dont worry, all of us know that you are more professional than those dumb organisers! jiayou!

The organisers are blind man! You’re such an experienced host, of cos u know the best way to handle situation. It’s was so depressed being stop to do the right thing at the right time! Totally understand how u feel. Don’t take it to heart, the audiences are not kids, they can tell.

After listening to the morning programme, I was looking forward to what you are going to write in your blog so I went looking for your blog and now its in my favourite list.

I was there for the F1 rock concert on Thursday and I was actually very disappointed with the performance. The organiser actually used Asian stars to act as guinea pigs now all I read in the papers are how good the Western performers are. Try having the Ang Mos performers there on the 1st night and see how good they are.

But overall, I actually think you and Jia Hui did a great job that day. Yippee….

    Hi.

I was one of those booing!! I shouted ‘Tui Piao’ I think. But it was targeted at you at all. Just that we were all very angry at that juncture. I paid $153 to suffer this.

Cruz, can you tell us who is the organiser? I heard its ‘All the world limited’. I tried searching for the company online but they don’t even have a website. Does it mean this is like their first concert?? Is LG so poor to just invite a lousy CMI company to set up the sound and lightings?

Next year, I hope everyone will boycott the concert. I doubt A*mei soda, jacky and da-mouth would come back. And I hope no Asian stars will attend.

I wish I could have capture QING FENG’s fuck you. He really speaks our mind.

    September 28, 2009 23:17

    Hey, it’s not your fault!
You were good in deflecting the “退票” shouts by pointing to your t-shirt which showed 933. I was one of them boo-ing too, but definitely not targeted at you! We all know that it was the organiser’s fault. It has been made known nationally already, that the first day’s concert system sucked.
Of course, we all feel indignant that the Asian stars were used as “guinea pigs” as well. Well, I’m sure the singers will understand that it has nothing to do with the hosts.

I left a msg on Qing Feng’s blog about the cock-up in the concert, apologised about it, and he replied:

His “FUCK U” is probably just something very direct and very “him”. Haha. Anyway, as a musician, this is probably one of the most embarassing moments, so I guess I’d be pissed off and say the same thing if I were him. They probably already had pent-up frustration during the sound check which took so damn long.
Yeah agree with Cheek, wish we had captured Qingfeng’s vulgarity. Haha. Well this is what we love about him right. =) that he can speak things freely. =)

So please continue your good job and don’t feel bad again ya! I’m sure the soda fans will transmit your good intention to sodagreen! I will try!

    It is a big Shame

The organizer is damn stupid, and dun even respect us! At least you must say sorry to all of us, but non of them said so.

My poor Sodagreen, was forced to stand at the stage for doing nothing, just u look at me, i look at u, then everyone look at them.

I fully support & understand why QingFeng said FXXX, I will be very angry too.
