21 days to National Day!

Attended the 2nd National Education Show on Saturday. The Floating Platform was full of kids. They must be the best audience ever. When Gurmit asked them to make some noise, they SCREAMMMMMMED their hearts out. When told to wave their flags, they did so with much gusto. Woohoo!

I didn’t expect goose bumps, as we sang the National Anthem. I’ve watched part of the show two weeks ago. But that overwhelming sense of pride and patriotism emerged again as I stood at attention on the media stand with friends new and old. Whether it’s 9th August, or any day of the year, singing Majulah Singapura with tens of thousands of people is an awesome and indescribable feeling.

(Again, if you do not have tickets on the big day, do not despair. Chope a spot nearby. Esplanade, Marina Square, Merlion Park, etc. )

Having watched the show in its entirety for the first time this weekend, I’m fully convinced that the National Day Parade this year will be the best yet. The lights, choreography, and stage effects were sharply executed, and you are not likely to feel that the show would go on and on and on and on, like how they used to.

The burning question on my mind right now is:

Who do I have to sleep with, to be able to host NDP next year? Or the year after… :P
