*Obviously, no one came to me with their Maths problems lah.
I suspect terms like ‘cheerful’, ‘friendly’ and ‘mixes well with classmates’ are synonymous with ‘talkative’. As you can see, I did well in languages- which do not require much ‘studying’. How I got an A1 in Geography is still very much a mystery though.
Apart from breaking test tubes in the Chemistry labs, and other apparatus in the Physics labs, I also broke the hearts of the teachers who told us that constant practise was the key to passing Maths examinations. For the record, I was one of the few black sheep in the ’95 cohort, who didn’t get a distinction for E. Maths in the 1995 ‘O’ Levels. Fortunately, the rest of them did well enough for us to be ranked Top 10 in Singapore that year.
