Oh my, I have two assignments to hand in by mid Feb. They constitute 25% for each of the two modules I’m taking this term. I wouldn’t say that I’m completely lost, but I reckon I have a lot of reading to do. There are lawyers, teachers, civil servants and even a young entrepreneur in my class, so I suppose they will be much more conscientious hor.

I was in bed the entire day, as the rest of Singapore busied themselves with New Year preparations. In between a couple of naps, I was thumbing my lecture notes and a textbook which curiously resembled what a primary school kid would read.

The most frequently asked question I encountered this week was if I received special treatment or attention in school. No, there weren’t any reserved parking lots. And there weren’t any vending machines stocked with Coke outside my classroom. Hahaha. I breezed through the first lesson on Monday, and excitedly told my friends, “Great. No one knows who I am! I’m free like a bird!”

At the session on Friday evening, I silently muttered an uh oh when the tutor wanted ‘to get to know us better’. I was rather hesitant in talking about my day job, when the row of ladies behind me volunteered, “Oh, he’s a DJ lor.”
