I nearly rolled on the floor laughing when my promo gal told me that the job was confirmed. “OMG! They have no idea what they are getting themselves into!” Muahahahahhaha!
A few months ago, I did an entry on one of the best local TV shows for the year. The scriptwriter left a comment on this blog, saying that she would propose the idea to the producer. I assumed that she was just being polite, and didn’t expect them to take me seriously.
I felt really incredulous when I was told a few weeks ago that I was really going to be Xiaoli’s brother. OMG. What are the chances of actually getting a customised role in a highly rated TV drama just by carelessly writing about it? By the way, do you think Wawa Pictures would have agreed if I said I wanted to kill off Alex Tan (Thomas Ong) and take over the show? 
Well, I wasn’t given a leading role obviously. I’m not even a supporting actor. I’m just a calefare who’s probably paid several dollars more than the extras who don’t have a day job in the industry. Seriously, I have no experience and zero aspirations when it comes to acting, but I relish trying out new things. I went to the set this morning with nil pressure, because I knew they won’t be expecting any Oscar moments from me, and that I won’t be upping the eye candy factor anyway. So, I simply went to PLAY! Apart from the adorable Michelle Tay as my sister and the delectable Julian Hee as her boyfriend, the formidable Liu Lingling joins the cast as my mum!
A big thank you to the crew and cast of Perfect Cut II. I had a great time today. 
The new season premieres on Channel U in March 2009.
Now you look like Michelle Tay woh!
