Canon Photo Marathon
When people engage me to host their events, their intention is perhaps to generate some hype and excitement, and probably to boost sales or something.
My purpose in doing these events is generally to earn some pocket money, polish my hosting skills and perhaps gain some exposure along the way. Spending money while hosting events is not part of the game plan.
Just two months ago, I bought a printer while doing an event at Courts. And I very nearly bought a phone at Jurong Point two weeks ago. I was there for a meeting two days before the actual event, and walked around the mall while waiting for a colleague. It was unfortunate (for the vendor) that they only accepted NETS.
The spending while earning adventure continued this weekend at the Canon Photo Marathon. Contestants were given three themes- Change, Dreams and Freedom. They had three hours to take a photograph for each theme. These are some of the photographs from the first category.
Oh man, I’m so inspired to invest in a decent camera and take up photography!

上个星期的某一天。
听9.33，应该只有你一个人在主持吧。
听着，听着。
差一点儿把自己吓死。
然后，为其他以你为榜样的听众担心。
DJ身兼的责任重大。至少我是这么认为的。尤其是“最受欢迎电台”的“最受欢迎DJ”主持人。相信，很多人都在听、看、学吧？？
听到你在“推销”一部片子，还是舞台剧，忘了。因为思绪被你当时的用词所深深“影响”着。
你说，这部XXX没有靠什么的宣传，完全是靠人们“以讹传讹”的方法在什么之类的。还说，这部 XXX不错。
请问：你知道“以讹传讹”是什么意思吗？
意思是：把本来错误的话，又错误地传出去，越传越错。
eeerrr……所以……阁下是认为这部XXX是不值得一看的？？
当然，在此处提出这个只是出于好意。
不是为了什么。
我认为，“名人”就是有责任注意自己的言行举止。
所以，会想提醒。

I was there on the competition that day. It was super super tiring eh.
And me and my friend were getting excited when we heard yes 933!
But to think y’all were gone from the stage in like less than 15 minutes?
Quite disappointed, but neverthless, glad to have seen you and Mary!

we were supposed to be onstage from 5-7pm.
but i think you guys came back from session 2 too fast.
which is why they announced the 3rd theme earlier. haha
