The world is going to hear me speak Engrish tomorrow.
It’s unexplainable, but the number of shows which require me to host in English has been increasing at a steady pace. I have no idea why (these nice) people (who are putting money in my pockets) think I’m suitable for their English gigs. They don’t know how nervous I get! I have no problems conversing and writing in English, but hosting in English is an entirely different ball game.

Sandy Lam is in town for her concert tomorrow night. Because of an unexpected twist of events, they asked if I could interview Sandy in English on Channel News Asia. I’m with a Local Chinese Entertainment Radio Station, so I’ve never harboured any aspirations of appearing on an International English News and Current Affairs Television Channel.
P:
So… Is it going to be ‘live’?Cruz:
(100% Singlish) Of cos not lah. You think they dare to put me ‘live’ meh? Even if they dare hor, you think I dare ah? I’m Cruz Teng. Not TimothyGohGo, not Timothy Ouyang.
Sandy was gorgeous, as usual. But I was too uptight last night- speaking English for the cameras, and sitting with the diva in such close proximity, to request to take a picture with her. Oh well.
CNA’s Prime Time Morning will carry this interview segment tomorrow.
