I can’t find the online explanation I saw some time ago… Gist: People don’t celebrate their 19th, 29th, 39th, 49th, 59th, 69th, 79th, 89th, 99th (etc) birthdays fearing bad luck.
And so, 18.09 this year is a non-event. No cakes, no presents, no parties.
Thanks for the birthday wishes though.

Hmm… i thot this is based on lunar calculation? This is what old folks always say… This year is ur 30 in lunar, last year was 29 in lunar.. did u celebrate?
