I is stupid.
M celebrates his 29th birthday tomorrow. C was roped in to plot a surprise. An alternative plan came to mind after ending the phone conversation, so I hurriedly composed a SMS to C.
说时迟 那时快。。。I sent the message to the birthday man instead!!! ARGH!
My neighbour must have been intrigued by the sudden outburst that came through the window. “Who uttered that F word with such gusto and splendour in the middle of the night?!”
We’re hoping that M wouldn’t understand the text. He mentioned repeatedly that he can’t subscribe to this blog because my entries are mainly in English.
Besides, how many Taiwanese (born and bred in a Mandarin environment) would know “scarly he there liao“. Three cheers for Singlish! Muahahahahah.
I’ve planned for a very public surprise on Y.E.S. 93.3FM at 9.30am tomorrow (Tuesday). Eh work boh? See how lah…
Update: Yes, the birthday man is Mr Milk 叶乃文！
He didn’t answer the first call at 9.10am. After trying for 20 minutes, we gave up. Just before I narrated the foolish story on air, I texted him “阿牛！快起来！”。
70 seconds before 《脱逃术》ended, I received his reply “起来啦。”
Oh! And so, I hastily made the overseas call, and put him live on air- minus the surprise element.
