The No 1 Ah Jie of Caldecott Hill celebrates her 40th birthday this year, and marks her 20th anniversary in show business. What a pleasure to host her party and autograph session.

NYE 07
1 January 2008 Tuesday | -

I had declined to host NYE events for the past couple of years because I wanted to party with my friends. Due to of a variety of reasons, I was back on the NYE countdown scene with Mary, as well as Jean and Yaz from Class 95.

It was the first time we were spending NYE with Kaydence, one of two Senior Promo Execs in 933.

Cruz:
I’ve just parked at Harbourfront. I’ll see you at the cable car tower.

Kay:
Ok. I’m on the MRT. I’ll be there in a minute. Cya @ Vivo.

Cruz:
What Vivo? We’re taking the cable car right?

Kay:
Ya lor. Take from Vivo mah.

People, people. Vivo is undoubtedly the biggest, grandest shopping mall in town. But please do not neglect its neighbour, HarbourFront Centre. Retail space pales in comparison, but it’s the place where you hop onto the cable cars.

By the way, Kaydence finally gets to celebrate her birthday again this year. 29 Feb! Woohoo!

Almost 20 countdown events took place in Singapore last night, ranging from the 160,000 madness at Marina to smaller scale events in the heartlands. Well, I was really happy to be where I was.

“Dear everyone who’s hosting some show somewhere, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I’m at Mt Faber. Think mine’s the least sweaty and most pleasant to do…”

Apart from the fireworks at Mt Faber, we saw the delightful scene at Marina and the pyros at Sentosa. The fireworks display one bridge away began 3 minutes earlier. Must be the time difference . Hahaha.
