CHOY CHOY CHOY!

His handsome jawline was severely distorted because of the swelling.

Poor he-who-shall-not-be-named… They extracted a tumour the size of an EGG! OMG! He was (and still is, as at 9.53pm, Tuesday) in tremendous pain. Not sure how much sayang-ing is required boy!
We googled pleomorphic adenoma… Can that medical student in Aussie (haha!) and/or medical professionals reading this blog verify with us that the material we read on Wiki is accurate? Essentially the part on “…rare recurrences”…
We end this post on a much cheerier note. Because the operation resulted in some sagging skin, our dearest he-who-shall-not-be-named got a facelift! I shouldn’t have done that, but I just couldn’t stop laughing over the phone.
Facelift! Wow! They knocked you unconscious for seven hours, took out an egg and gave you a F-A-C-E-L-I-F-T?!

we were taught never to trust wikipedia. hahaha.
according to this: http://www.emedicine.com/radio/topic531.htm, basically if the surgeon was zai enough and removed every bit of the tumour, chances of recurrence is very minute. hope your friend gets well soon!
cheers
