Weekend Headache
28 July 2007 Saturday | 23:16 | -

The 1/4 Bai Kah turns into a grouchy old man when he got a headache in the middle of a rainy weekend. At least two people bore the brunt of it before the effect of paracetamol set in.

***
J, who had been trying to arrange for mahjong all week, informed that the session was cancelled… because R didn’t give her a reply.

Although R is my friend (the best, in fact), they have each other’s contact numbers what! I didn’t want them to develop this habit of making me the communication middleman when they can interact with each other directly.

My message to R:

What’s your problem? One simple mahjong invite also don’t know how to reply? What’s so difficult about typing a yes or no? Do you have to make that woman hang in the air all week and keep asking me YOUR availability?

He sheepishly called with a “Wah, so angry ah?”. He offered to round up people for mahjong, but was rejected because I didn’t feel like playing anymore.

***
The godson had asked for tickets to S.H.E’s concert. Upon confirmation, he asked if he could give those tickets away to another person.

The truth is, I am very anal about tickets. Event organisers present me with tickets, sometimes out of courtesy, sometimes for friendship’s sake, and at most other times, hoping that I will talk or blog about the event(s). Therefore, I don’t usually grab tickets for my friends when I am not attending, because I don’t want to abuse my privileges and/or owe people favours.

His reason (for giving away the tickets) was rather compelling, though. So I wasn’t about to penalise him for that. Until he made me jump when he called to say that his friend couldn’t find the ticket counter.

Please lah.

I don’t know the layout of the place, and I don’t intend to bother them when the show is starting soon. Ask your friend to go look for the counter himself. There must be someone sitting somewhere to issue tickets. And it can’t be some ulu place where people can’t find them.

They found the counter 5 mins later.

You see! How difficult can that be?!
