An email from the Managing Director’s Office, EMI Taiwan came with this reassurance:

1. There is no robbery with weapons involved in this disturbance as previously reported by some media.

2. Due to miscommunication with the local collaborators, some money issues caused the local collaborators to behave in a way that presented threats to our artist and MV workers’ safety; therefore, under safety consideration, EMI TW decides to cancel the incomplete MV shooting itinerary.

3. With the assistance of Singapore Embassy, artist and MV workers have been relocated safely. Later today all of them will also be leaving Egypt for Taiwan, making flight transfers in Dubai and HK.

They’ll be making further statements when Yanzi arrives at Taipei safely.
