Xmas Gathering - 22.12.06 Fri

I haven’t mentioned this…

I almost fainted while walking to the first gathering over the Xmas weekend…

Due to some rather complicated reasons, I went without food for quite some time. After eating an apple at 10am and two chicken wings and a slice of chocolate cake at 4pm on Thursday, the only thing that kept my digestion system busy was Coke and water. Luckily, I still have some fats stored somewhere…

(No, it isn’t part of an elaborate dieting plan. Neither is it some ploy to get you to call the 1900 donation hotlines… Somehow, I just didn’t eat much lah.)

25 hours after the two chicken wings and a slice of chocolate cake, I was feverishly praying that I wouldn’t faint on the pavement while walking to PF’s place. Never mind the fact that it would most be unglam, I was more worried that I wouldn’t have the energy to react if someone hijacked my WOOHOO BEARs.

Hahaha. Joking.

Anyway, I got there safely and managed to muster enough strength (and volume) to announce to PF (and probably half of her neighbourhood) that I was about to die of hunger.

Thank goodness they were cooking some ?? because it was ???

The four member advance party sat down for a little reunion before the troops arrived three hours later. I wasn’t involved in the buying process. However, I helped out by putting the stuff in the fridge, which really isn’t easy cos you had to arrange everything in such a way that things don’t topple and you don’t waste valuable space in between. And I filled the ice trays too! Therefore, I consider myself to be part of the advance party. Don’t argue.

Because PF didn’t have a Christmas tree at home, we had to improvise. I called AA, who later contacted GT and SC to *cough* grab some Christmas decor from their respective offices. Now, Christmas is all about caring and sharing, right? I’m sure the major supermarket chain, major record label and major events company which hired AA, GT and SC, wouldn’t mind sharing their Christmassy stuff with their employees and employees’ friends. Thanks!

We have to admit that steamboat is more for CNY. Hahaha. But it really is something relatively easier to prepare for a party of 13. We also troubled GT’s family to supply a huge tub of fried dang hoon and iced jelly + longan. (Canned longans. Not longans planted by their families lah. Duh.) The brownie SC bought was great with vanilla ice cream and peppermint (aka toothpaste) ice cream.

People, I love Taboo. (NOT the pub. The game.) My team won both rounds because we have powderful vocabulary and excellent chemistry.

Clue : Cruz is ____.

Answer : CLUMSY.

You see, we only need TWO words to guess the correct answer!

We didn’t do too well for Twister though. Too long never do Sit-and-reach lah.

Oh, I’m glad they liked the WOOHOO BEARs. Because they were all very enthusiastic in contributing ideas for the next one, I declare they are automatically enrolled into the WOOHOO BEAR Committee next year.
