You know how some people complain that their lives are boring? Work- Eat- Work- Sleep- Work…Work- Eat- Work- Sleep- Work…
Me… I’d prefer less drama in my life, really.
0100 hrs: Starts packing. Cannot find passport.
0130 hrs: Still cannot find passport.
0200 hrs: Starts to panic.
0230 hrs: Cannot find in the house. Tries the car- still cannot find.
0300 hrs: Drives back to office — don’t have.
0400 hrs: Continues search at home — still don’t have.
0430 hrs: Sends SMS to boss. “Urgent. Pls call me immediately when you wake.”
0431 – 0530 hrs: Sits in living room waiting for call. Very stoned. Very sleepy liao. Panic attack starts wearing off- Kill me oso no use now.
0530 hrs: Boss calls. Her jaws drop.
0630 hrs: Arrives at airport to pass them stuff for Shanghai meeting.
0645 hrs: Calls AG, who has contacts in Immigration, for help.
0715 hrs: Arrives at office. Informs Lingzhi and Mary of the situation. Their jaws drop.
0740 hrs: Drafts letter to Immigration and Checkpoint Authority; prints supporting documents.
0830 hrs: Drives to ICA with half opened eyes to request for temporary document of travel. Application approved. BUT! Still cannot go! That temporary document requires a visa from Embassy of China! New passport cannot be issued on the same day! Confirm cannot go liao! Argh!
1000 hrs: Drives home slowly with half opened eyes.
1130 hrs: Finally goes to bed after an entire night of action.
OMG. Why is there so much drama in my life?! Where the hell is my passport?!
2000 hrs: “Please buy me dinner to celebrate my doom.”
Hi Cruz, help!! I’m scheduled to fly to Japan on Sat morning and my passport is nowhere to be found now. It’s Friday now. Can ICA grant some temporary pass within 1 day?? What should I bring? =’(
Bring IC and supporting docs on why you need to travel. Go to ICA first thing in the morning. Tell them your story and ask for help. Alamak. Good luck!!
