Wisdom Tooth Extraction…
After jabbing two shots of anesthetic into my gums, the dentist said “Wah you very garang hor? Some people fidget non stop, you look very steady!”
On the contrary…
I was feeling all jittery while driving to the dentist’s on Friday.
Yes, it wasn’t the first time I was extracting a tooth…
PRECISELY!
I wasn’t that afraid the first time. Because I didn’t know exactly what to expect…
After going through the trauma of a minor surgery done in my small mouth- yes, you have to agree that my mouth is small, cos it can’t contain all the teeth I have!- I was sure I didn’t want to go through the nightmare again.
Even as I walked towards the lift, I was thinking, “Aiyah… Why don’t I come another day…”
Hahahaha.
Cannot lah. I announced on air I would be extracting my tooth liao. Very malu if people discover that I backed out at the last minute.
Hohoho.
As the anesthetic kicked in, Dr Lee Hock Leong pushed a tool into my mouth and started clamping away… In less than a minute, the whole extraction was over.
Huh? So fast? I thought he said the tooth was embedded in my gums? How come so easy?
Chey.
He sent me on my way without an MC.
Double Chey.
Dr Lee expected my wound to heal by Saturday evening.
He would be pleased to learn that while I experienced a slight discomfort an hour after the extraction, I was perfectly fine, talking and eating away by the same night.
While chewing on a lovely piece of steak some twenty hours later, A and X exclaimed, “Didn’t you just extract your tooth yesterday? Can eat this ah?”
Oh, I can eat anything.
Fantastic.
The colour is a little strange cos the tooth had been soaked in a green solution for an entire day before I took the picture…
