Morbid Auntie
I was at Guardian’s on Fri. The Toa Payoh Central branch, if you really wanna know… While waiting to pay for a new water bottle- I left mine in the lang-gar-ed car, I heard this conversation behind me.
The poor girl had obviously bought some slimming product from this auntie, who was at her cheerful best:
“Remember hor, you take this, you must drink a lot of water. More than 10 glasses, or you will die.”
Woah. I was so surprised at the way she spoke…
She went on to remind the girl how important it was to drink enough water.
“You know last time, the hotel collaspe? The people trapped inside had to drink their own pee to survive.”
WOAH!
Totally acceptable in a Biology class, but I deem that too morbid to hear in a neighbourhood store. Wah laos…
