After the long weekend
In case my bosses sit up and take note of my previous one liner, All work no play makes Cruz a dull King, I have to clarify this- Haha!- All play no work makes Cruz a poor contender for higher bonuses.
Apart from my play, I got down to some serious work sending emails and making phone calls all over Asia. Yes, I’m not bullshitting. My work takes me places, and made me memorise the international dialing codes for Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong to be +86, +886 and +852 respectively.
And that also allowed me to accumulate a stash of currency from these three regions. Would have to spend some time sorting out my Renminbi from the NT$ and HK$- not that I have a lot lah. It’s just that some silly person (aka Lingzhi) brought (only) Renminbi to Taiwan, and I have since been extra careful. Hee.
全球华语歌曲排行榜- billed as the top music event in the region, will be held in Singapore this year. Besides local promotions, we’ll be staging a showcase in Guangzhou this week. 蔡淳佳, who’s representing Singapore, will open the show that will see a cast of regional artistes, including Guangzhou’s 张敬轩&陈尚实、Beijing’s 水木年华、Shanghai’s 薛子谦、Hong Kong’s卫兰、Taiwan’s Tank and Malaysia’s曹格。
And in strict adherence to my Play mantra, I’m currently goggling for places to go to, cos it’s my first time in Guangzhou.
I’ll be off to Guangzhou on Wed! Woohoo!
And I’ll miss the Da Vinci Code Gala Premiere on Wed! Bleah!
