Long Weekend Interim Post
Halfway into the Long Weekend, my energy has been depleted by more than 70% already. And my car chalked up more than 200km in less than 24 hours. Wheet.
I know sleep cannot be stored, but I still comforted myself the last two mornings with the fact that I slept twelve hours a few nights ago.
(I know for a fact that lengthy chunks of text are not particularly reader-friendly… And this probably constitutes a boh liao post, with me recording my events for the last few days… Haha.. I just wanna highlight the fact that All Work, No Play, Makes Cruz a Dull King =P)
*Thursday Morning/ Afternoon
Peifen and I joined Dasmond, Guoxian and Lilian for the shooting of Glamourlicious II, otherwise known as 请你吃好料II。
Sounds good eh?
The theme was Curry. First stop was a Thai curry place at Veerasamy Road, followed by Curry Favour (Jap Curry) at Stamford Road.
The aroma got me really hungry, but the reality is you don’t really eat much when you’re working. We woo-ed and ahh-ed in front of the cameras, took a few more bites after the cameras stopped rolling, and pushed everything away. The simple logic was, we couldn’t eat too much at a single location, in case we can’t eat at the next stop.
And yes, there was this constant reminder, not to eat like a pig in front of the cameras.
I’ll post pictures when (or if) the crew mail them to me. And I will update the telecast date so that you guys can find something else to do (besides watching TV) that day.
*Thursday Evening
Was at the carpark behind Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange to give away car decals and goodie bags.
A coincidence, really. That I spot a new hairdo everytime I give decals.
The last one was a Summer Look- which everyone preferred, vs the Blonde Look.
Lingzhi managed to lower everyone’s expectations of my twisted perm… Most drivers were visibly relieved when they saw my hair wasn’t as bad as her description. Haha.
A guy came to take a picture and asked for my autograph.
I asked for his name, and wrote Dear CLEMENTI.
His name was Clement. Hahahahaha!
The I was too big to be disguised as a comma, so I had to apologise (not before laughing out loud) and asked for another page on his book. Hahahaha!
*Thursday Night
The dinner with Jack and Michelle would have been perfect if not for a bunch of kids running around the restaurant.
Yes, kids are relatively harder to control. Everyone can testify to that.
I can understand if they yell at the dining table. But I simply cannot accept the fact that idiotic parents let their kids play catching and hide and seek inside a restaurant.
I raised my voice at the table, Why do these people think that they have a right to turn this place into a playground?
I think I wasn’t loud enough, cos chaos persisted.
Then I signalled to a kid, “Boy, come… Ssshhhhhh..” He was amused and imitated my Ssshhhh by putting a finger to his lips. The rest followed suit.
Ah… Silence was observed. For a grand total of five seconds.
Hahaha. All right, I wasn’t tekaning the kid lah. I was just trying my luck. It’s not their fault. It’s their parents who seriously need to take up Etiquette For Parents with Kids 101.

*Friday Morning*
Because Lingzhi’s contract is different from mine, her annual leave period is shorter. I galliantly offered to work on Fri, thus giving her an extra day of rest.
Conclusion: Cruz is nice. *Lol
*Friday Afternoon*
Drove in a thunderstorm on two expressways to host OTO’s roadshow with Peifen. I didn’t waste any time and sat down with an OTO Big Foot. *Shiok
*Friday Evening*
Funny how our three bills that evening each came up to about $30.
After dinner at Spizza with Ryan, we went over to pick his girlfriend, who was apparently rather shy about meeting me.
“Wah. She said she’ll be down in five minutes. With me, it’s usually fifteen!”
“She’s going to wash up now. I think she spends more time dressing up when she meets you, than when she meets me.”
Ah… What can I say… Haha.
After failed attempts at getting movie tickets, we headed over to Settlers Cafe (again!) with Jack and Justin.
Dim Sum at Geylang ended the night activities. Funny how people like to “go for supper” to end things, when no one really feels hungry…
Is it because:
1. People don’t like to go home that early…
2. People like to go to bed with full stomachs…
3. People don’t have much to do in Singapore ?
