Loving Myself
What was meant to be a four-hour grooming session, turned into a seven-hour “Love Myself Day“.
Ah…
Because my acne outbreak on the right side of my face has made more than one person petrified, I’ve been receiving suggestions every other day.
I decided to take up C’s proposal, cos she offered to pay for my treatment if it didn’t work. Wheet.
And so, I was at Raffles Hotel this afternoon to let her friend take a look at my face. Somehow, the movie “The Beautician and The Beast” kept flashing in my mind…
“You see, you have an outbreak here. It means you have been taking too much fried food. I think you’re not getting enough sleep. And you’re very stressed, is it?”
Ah… I should get her to send a report to my boss! 
I thought the treatment would be done in 90 minutes… I didn’t expect to spend three hours there!
And so, I was late for my haircut. I budgeted 90 minutes for that too, cos my original intention was to get the sides cropped.
Eventually, I got convinced to do a “Twisted Perm”. Along the way, we discovered that the perming liquid distorted the colour of my hair, and thus a new coat of dye was added before the actual cut.
I spent a total of four hours in there!
Me: I got a perm.
A: *faint* maggie mee?
Me: Something like that.
A: *faint faint faint*
A: Send me your pic while I get my pillow. I scared!Me: Ok, this is not a very clear pic. But it’ll do.
A: Ya, not clear.
Me: Wait for another pix another day.
A: I can wait.
Me: I thought you would say “nothing worth waiting for”
A: I mean I dun mind waiting forever.
