It was nice while it lasted.
You were the very first country I visited. Ringgit was the first overseas currency I came in contact with.
Unfortunately, because I nearly couldn’t return home in one piece this weekend, I’ve decided not to go past your immigration counter in the meantime. By that, I probably mean the next decade or so.
Until I get over the trauma that occurred a few hours ago. Until your police officers can speak enough English, or understand that most non-Malaysian Chinese do not speak Bahasa Melayu. And that they are diligent enough to attend to me when I needed to make a report, so that I wouldn’t have had to spend two hours in one of your dilapidated stations.
For the sake of neighbourly harmony, and more importantly, my personal safety, I will not provide details publicly.
Thank you for the wonderful memories. I regret that I will divert my tourist dollars to other destinations. But I’m sure my fellow citizens will still flock to your land for cheap petrol, cheap sugar, cheap whatever. Until they encounter the same thing.
I still love you very much. However, I’ll have to say Bye for now. Bye for good.

To my friends and relatives and acquaintances and ex classmates and “others” (hhaha!) who called/ texted/ IM-ed me: Sorry I didn’t have the energy to repeat the story again and again and again after relating it again and again and again in the office this morning .
I only had two hours of sleep last night… But really, I’m ok. I’m fine. I’m alive. No worries k? Thank you for your concern. Just lemme rest for a while, before I give you a full blown account of what happened.
