New Jeans
Oh, when I did a recap on the highlights of last week, I omitted something.
Yes, I’m still sore I didn’t win anything from Singapore Pools, but hey, I got a free pair of jeans!
When I was studying, I was amazed at the kind of jeans my classmates bought. Versace, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Iceberg… Expensive jeans that came in colours that could be spotted miles away. Haute Couture that came in the bengest way imaginable.
I didn’t have extra cash for those.
I was spending my money on assessment books and ten year series… Like real. Hahaha.
Anyway, I don’t know how I spent my money lah. Point is, I didn’t have cash for Haute Couture until I started working. And thank goodness, all of us had outgrown the Versace Orange Jeans + White Hunting World tee phase by then.
Whew.
The first pair of rather expensive jeans I bought when I was studying is from Calvin Klein. I’ve got no idea where it is now. And I’m not going to waste time searching for it, cos there’s a pretty high possibility that I can’t squeeze myself into it anymore.
Poly- 60kg. Now- A bit more. ![]()
The most expensive pair I’ve ever bought is from G-Star. That was in Shanghai last year. I was so bloody fed up. The food and company was great, of course. But the shopping sucked big time. Let me rephrase- the shopping places we went to sucked. Besides being harassed by hawkers- Hello! I’m not interested in your fake LVs and Guccis lah!, I couldn’t find anything to buy.
And so, the die die must spend money syndrome kicked in. I got a pair of jeans from G-Star. It was slightly cheaper, compared to local prices, but yes, it was still at an exorbitant rate.
I’ve recently got something in my wardrobe to surpass that price tag.

Buffalo’s new store at Marina Square had its official opening last week. I was privileged to get a complimentary pair of jeans.
When I was in the fitting room, my jaws nearly dropped to the ground. Woah.
(But still cheaper than my wallet lah. :P)
To the marketing people at Buffalo, thank you very much. =) I’m sincerely happy with the jeans. Not cos I didn’t have to pay a cent. It’s really comfortable. The people who stroked my thighs while I was wearing the jeans can testify to that. Thanks.
