Imperfect Ten

Ah yes, it’s my tenth year on radio this week.

各位,我只是出道早。。。我不是很老。。。

It all started after I completed my ‘O’ Levels. With nothing to do during the break, and with nothing to lose, I asked Yuanqing (then Programme Manager, 933) if I could come for an interview as a part time DJ.

After six weeks of training, I went on air alone. On 31 Mar 1996.

I said something like “对于新人,你可以有要求。但请你不要苛求。” It rhymed! Hahaha.

Some 3650 days later, here I am, 26 going on 27, astonished at how fast the decade went by.

Whatever I’ve done, it certainly wasn’t a solo job, and whatever memories I have, are shared with the people who saw me through this decade.

There were a couple of highlights- moments where I was on cloud nine. There were those who patted me on the back and made sure my feet were firmly on the ground after I returned from the aforementioned cloud. And there were those who saw me through difficult times, when I simply wasn’t performing.

And since I consider this to be an Imperfect Ten, there won’t be any over the top antics.

I just wanna say that I’m sincerely thankful to the people who have made this possible. And I’m extremely grateful for what I have.

Thank you.
