At home at 7am on a weekday…
A few more minutes to 7am…
Usually at this time, I would be in the studio sipping my first can of Coke for the day- Yes, I need to inject myself with some caffeine. Ar ber then? How do you think I sound so cheerful in the mornings? =P
This morning, I’m at home slouching in front of the computer.
Lovely.
Before I begin my week of nua-ing in bed, here are a couple of pictures from MediaCorp Radio’s Dinner and Dance last Friday.
It’s one of those rare occasions where I put on a blazer and try to look smart.
The theme this year was Radio Music Awards. We were asked to dress up as celebs attending award ceremonies.
Because I was so busy last week, I didn’t have time to think about who I wanted to impersonate.
“Oh. I’m going as Myself. What do you mean I have no albums to my name? I got host award ceremonies before hor. So yes, I can go as Myself.”

With Huishi, gorgeous as usual. Me in a cheap pink shirt with the word PORNSTAR at the back, and a rather expensive blazer from Zara I wore for the Singapore Radio Awards last year.

With Liyi, who couldn’t get her hands off me. *Blush*

With Chongqing, who said he came as Rain. I thought he looked more like A-do.
Note to Mary: The picture we took… Can see my double chin lah. So cannot post. Hahaha.

Oh yes, I haven’t explained why I’m up at this hour…
From 5pm yesterday, Don had been trying to round up people for mahjong. But everyone, including me, had appointments.
My dinner with Andrew, V2 and Leo at Holland Village ended rather early. Andrew had to work and V2 wanted to rush home for his Man U’s match vs Newcastle. Leo and I, who are both not working today wanted to catch a movie, but realised normal people do not watch 11pm movies on Sunday, and therefore there weren’t any screenings for us.
I wasn’t comfortable at all, being home so early when I didn’t have to work the next day.
So I texted them, “Supper?”
Well, I just had dinner. Everyone else just had dinner too. So obviously they weren’t hungry as well. However, being considerate souls who understood I was on leave this week, and therefore would not be able to sit still at home, they agreed to meet me.
Ah. My friends are so nice.
Spoilt brat Cruz must have done something right in his previous incarnations to have such nice friends. =D
Don:
Shall we have prata?Cruz:
Sure.Don:
Nearest is Jalan Kayu.Cruz:
Can we go far far? Like Jurong or something? I’m bored.
Eventually, we didn’t end up at a faraway place… …
The minute I met Don and Aiwei, they lamented the fact we weren’t able to play mahjong despite one whole evening of SMSing and adjusting of schedules. Then we realised that Don’s appointment for Monday is at 3pm and Aiwei is on leave like me.
That makes three people available for mahjong!
If only… If only Jan would agree…
I thought it wasn’t likely cos she has an overseas guest in town…
But… But… she actually said YES!
What?!
What have I done to have a friend who would sacrifice her sleep to play mahjong with me, just because I’m on leave?

All right, perhaps I’m thinking too much. SHE is a kiao gwee too. Hahaha!
Hours later, I am a few bucks poorer. But I’m content that Sunday wasn’t that boring after all.
