Once again…
If I were to cultivate a new habit in 2006, it would be to “make last minute travel plans“.
Right after the impulsive Bangkok trip last month, I will be going to Kuala Lumpur AND GENTING! on Wednesday.
We have:
- V, who is currently in between jobs and therefore sees a need to spend some money before embarkation to greener pastures;
- L, who has sent duno how many resumes, but yet to find a job that allows him to work like a pantry boy and earn the amount that of a CEO.
- Q, who is always very busy doing dunno what, but suddenly announces he’s free to leave the country for three days;
- and C (me!), who needs to clear his annual leave.
When I told my mum about the plans, she was going : “Woo! I’m going to KL on Wed too!”
Yeap, my mum travels to KL very often. She’s a regular Zoukette over there.

Huh? You believe me ah?
90% of my friends actually believed me… Either I’m good at bluffing or they really perceive my mum to be a very happening party animal. My mum is a 良家妇女, (not that Zoukettes are not 良家妇女, don’t get me wrong! Hahaha!)
My mum’s company (by that I mean the company she works for, not that she owns the company) has an office there, and she’s been assigned to check things out on a regular basis.
When I suggested she travel with us, she went:
“You drive ah? Better not lah.” Erm…. I can claim my coach and/or air fare from the Company lah. Thanks!
Hahahahaha! How dare she doubt me?! I got her to Jurong from Changi in twenty five minutes leh…
But seriously, I’m really depending on V and Q to get us to KL safely and quickly. Right, I boast about speeding (safely) in Singapore, but I haven’t handled the North South Highway before. I don’t know if I have the guts to floor that pedal. Hmmmmm…
So… V and Q: If I’m not taking over the wheel, please 手下留情 ok… My car is less than two months old hor…
