Random…
I probably would not watch a movie with Leo in the near future. Two movies in a row with him, and both sucked.
If you trust me, please save your $8 and do something more meaningful other than watching Jim Carrey’s Fun with Dick and Jane. Yeap, everyone has bad days and probably every actor comes up with something he would regret making…
Then again, different people have different tastes…

I don’t know if you guys keep your ang pows till the end of the CNY period… I’ve been trying to cultivate this habit of ripping apart ang pows after 15 days. Unfortunately, I had to open them earlier than expected this year.
Ryan drove my car while I was away earlier this week. Last night, he asked if I left a few ang pows in the car.
Ryan:
Great. My ang pows are all mixed up with yours.Cruz:
Oh.Ryan:
And I don’t remember which are mine.Cruz:
Do I look like I’d memorise the patterns and know which are mine?
I ended up convincing him that ang pows containing more currency were mine.
Hahaha. It sounds fishy. But it’s true! I got those at the reunion dinner on CNY Eve. My mum and uncles certainly won’t give me $4 or $8 right?! And his ang pows were from mass visits- ie more likely to belong to the $4-$10 range.
And so, we opened everything, and he handed over all the big ang pows to me. Muahaha.
Any discrepancies would just have to be classified as Car Rental Fees.

While we’re on this topic of ang pows, I’ve been behaving like a yao gwee, asking for ang pows from my friends.
Erm, I’m not hard up for cash… I just thought it would be most hilarious for someone my age to hand me an ang pow. And besides, ang pows signify well wishes mah.
Shuqing has invited me to her new home this Saturday.
Cruz:
Cool! I give you housewarming present, you give me ang pow ok?S:
Sai lah!
Angie is rounding up the gang for dinner on Friday night.
Cruz:
So, are you going to give me an ang pow?A:
Of course not! U wish ah! You should be like David Gan and give away big fat ang pows.Cruz:
Erm. I can’t. I just gave big fat ang pows to SQ and Mariott Bangkok.

Still on the topic of ang pows, I gave two this year. To my parents.
Heng, the ATM dispensed new notes man. Kind of ugly to put old notes in ang pows right?
Then I realised the little ang pow packets I had were too small to contain everything. I ended up writing two cheques instead.
Coupled with the fact that I 守岁-ed (at the mahjong table), my parents should live to a ripe old age. Yeah.

Won’t be on air till next Thursday cos I might be involved in the 70 hrs Gag. This is one of the many many activities lined up for Radio’s 70th Anniversary.
As you know, most (if not all) people in my line are pretty talkative. So it might be a big challenge to make everyone keep their mouths shut for 70 hrs.
This Sunday, (at 3pm I think), we’ll launch the 70 hrs Gag. Seven DJs from seven stations- Y.E.S. 93.3FM, Love 97.2FM, Class 95 FM, Gold 90FM, 987FM, Ria 89.7 FM and Oli 96.8FM- will be kept in seven cubicles at Ngee Ann City’s Civic Plaza. There, they’ll have to stay silent for 70 hrs.
Anyone who cannot/does not/ will not keep quiet -whether accidentally, or purposely (so that they can go home and sleep- haha!) will be replaced by another DJ from the same station.
At the end of the 70 hrs, scores will be tabulated and the winning station will win $70,000 for their adopted charity.
Mary will be 933’s first representative. And I will be on standby once Mary steps into the cubicle.
“Oei… You don’t sabo me and tio gang start talking at 3am hor…”
In the event that I start talking, Peifen will be the next in line.
Please join us at Civic Plaza k… Erm, you could wave to us, while watching us zoh boh in the cubicle. Try not to talk to us yeah? Cos the polite person in me would be so tempted to reply. Hahaha.
More updates coming soon, on air and online.
