1 hour @ Internet Cafe : 40 Baht
Fulfilling my mission (which shan’t be disclosed) : PRICELESS.
While driving me to the airport, my best friend commented it was rare for me to do such a thing: Flying out at such late notice.
Hello! It’s not rare. It’s something NEW. It’s my first time doing so.
It made some of my friends dumbfounded too. But they were quick to recover and show an (excessive?) display of concern via phone and sms just before boarding.
“Yes, I will enjoy myself. Thanks.”
“Yes, I will be careful. And no, I won’t bring strangers back to my room at night. Or in the day, for that matter.”
After the 10th call,
Erm.. I will only be away for 60 hrs. Not 60 months leh…
Mariott Resort & Spa truly took my breath away. It really really made me forget about the real world. For a while.
You know how most hotels give you coupons and make you redeem your welcome drinks at the bar… Mariott had sweet ladies dishing out drinks and hot towels the minute I stepped in the lobby.
I guess you must be most concerned over my balcony and what “superb view of the river”.
Well… I didn’t get that…
BECAUSE…
They upgraded me to a SUITE!!!
WOOHOO!
I had trouble understanding the girl at the reception, and I didn’t probe further. Not important lah. Since she already muttered the magic words: FREE UPGRADE.
Wah laos! Sibei heng man!
I’ve not taken pictures of the SUITE yet.. (I won’t be able to post them online anyway…) It’s my habit… I only take pictures just before leaving. In case I capture “something” …. You know what I mean? You got watch the Thai horror flick The Shutter? Yes… :O
After mentally drafting a complaint letter to M1 (details later), I began to plan my itinerary.
Lim Teck said there was this restaurant I must go to. I assume the half the tourists in Bangkok received the same SMS cos the super atas place would only have me for dinner at 1030pm. Wah biang.
And so, I had a quick (and light) dinner in my room before proceeding for a 3hr spa.
Had wanted to venture out after that, but I was sooOOOOooo relaxed I didn’t want to go anywhere but laze in my SUITE.

I’m at the new Siam Paragon now. Got a drink at this cafe and realised it’s an internet cafe! Hee.
Gotta grab dinner now.
