Freaky late night drive…
After coffee at Boat Quay, and popping by the office to finish up some production, I drove around for a while cos I wasn’t really feeling sleepy at 3am. And since there were so few cars at that hour, I could relish in the thoughts that I sorta owned the roads.
There’s this stretch I particularly liked. Jack brought me there on the first night I got my car, and I’ve been there whenever I felt like *cough* stepping hard on that pedal. Last we checked, there’re no speed cameras and the Traffic Police aren’t likely to be stationed there cos it’s freaking ulu. (I’m not going to get myself into trouble by telling you how fast I went… Haha.)
And so, I was stepping hard like I usually do (on that stretch)… when I saw something that nearly made me buang!

As I got closer, I saw he was pushing a trolley.
Then… I saw a HEAD!!! On a body. Sitting upright on a trolley.

That moment, I WAS TOTALLY FREAKED OUT!

Wah lao!
It’s probably not something unusual- he probably isn’t a murderer or kidnapper or (black) magician-wannabe, but I wasn’t prepared to see something like that at 3am.
As I was heading for a curvy stretch, I had to look ahead and not get the answers to my 101 questions via the rear mirror.
That uncle hor… Is way much scarier than the red and blue lights of the Traffic Police…
