Lim Beh is very DL now…
Lim Beh has been working (part time) since 16. Along the course of my work, I have been involved in numerous charity events. Besides cajoling the mass public (who trusted me) to donate their hard earned money, I coughed out some money of my own as well…
Apparently, Lim Beh’s money were not used properly. Besides the golden tap and wadever rubbish, it’s been confirmed that only 10 cents of every dollar Lim Beh donated went to the poor kidney patients. And they bluffed Lim Beh over the number of patients they’d treated, as well as the costs and subsidies given.
The new NKF Board is seeking legal advice on whether there were corporate practices which crossed the legal or regulatory line and on the appropriate course of action to be taken against former NKF Directors, Exco members and others, where applicable.
NKF Chairman Gerard Ee stressed, however, that any action taken will have to be weighed against the costs of such action, as this involves donor money.
As for any criminal liability, bodies like the Commercial Affairs Department and Inland Revenue Authority are still carrying out investigations.
Lim Beh say: They’d better catch that f**ker. I’m not any worse off giving the amount I gave. But I know of people who folked out massive proportions of their income and savings to the organisation.
