Hosted two autograph sessions at the very ulu Jurong Entertainment Centre this afternoon. Woah, haven’t been there for ages. And I don’t think I’ll pop by anytime soon. Until CapitaMall does some major revamping there.
The first session was for P.S. I Love You. The first 3G drama in Asia now comes in VCD and DVD formats. Fiona was her usual hyper self, while Ah Wu was surprisingly very chatty this afternoon! Even his minder was amazed.
An hour later, Fann and Chris made their appearance for the autograph session of The Lucky Stars.
“大家好!我是文芳。”
“大家好!我是名順。”
“大家好!我是電燈泡。”
Hahaha. Caldecott’s Royal Couple refused to stand beside each other and sandwiched me in between.
名順,你是不是惹文芳生氣了?為什麼她都不想站在你的旁邊?
Jokes aside, I wasn’t just being nice, doing them a favour, or anything. I just feel they should be given a break already. After being harassed for one whole week, enough is really enough. I’m like, they’re going steady now. Let them be! Whether they get married now, or 2010… Publicly or secretly, it’s their own business what… Ask once, ask twice. But don’t ask all the time!
The media and probably everyone else was all too eager to have a couple pic taken. But I thwarted their plans. I mean, I’m the host right? I cannot sabo the artistes right? Somemore they’re my colleagues leh. I stuck to my Lightbulb position through the interview and games. (On hindsight, how often do you get stuck in between Fann and Chris?) While the autograph session was going on, I got Fann’s P.A. to stand in between the couple. Ha. The Princess thanked me profusely for that.
On the ride back to MediaCorp, the Lees Mr Lee and Ms Fann told me they were prepared for some teasing at the Star Awards, but didn’t expect a drama to unfold there.
There you go, the perils of having a public relationship. It’s no wonder celebs want to hide their other halves, fellow celebs or not, from the limelight, cos this is a classic example of what can and did go wrong.
