Arthover:

Jan:

Faith:
Wish you heng heng lucky lucky pass test.

Like I mentioned before, I wasn’t the least nervous. I was very very calm. A tad embarrassing if I flunk, yes. But there’s really no urgency for me to own a car and land myself in debt right now, so it’s really ok if I flunk this test.

While doing the warm up session prior to the test,

Instructor:
You nervous?

Cruz:
Oh. Not at all.

Instructor:
Good. Some students fail not because they cannot drive. It’s because they make mistakes and then it affects them. Never mind if you make minor mistakes. Cos when the points add up, you might still pass.

Cruz:
Oh. It’s ok. I don’t know how many points each mistake costs.

Hahaha.

But, Hao Lian Cruz wasn’t so Hao Lian a while later.

I didn’t realise how nerve wrecking it was to sit in the waiting room after the warm up.

When the tester brought me down to the car, I had no idea what he was talking about. I mean, he was slanging so much Ang Moh, I really catch no ball siah.

I only heard, “I’m ready anytime you’re ready.”

“Ok…” And not knowing what to say… “Is the air con ok?”

Hahaha.

I breezed through the different stations in the circuit. Heng Heng. Never mount kerb, never strike pole.

And the route outside was a relatively easy one. (Note to ex and present SSDC students, it was Route 6.)

Along the way, I muttered a few CBs and NBs in my heart. It’s hard to detail all the inconveniences I encountered on the roads lah… Point is, I did meet with some minor incidents on the road. And truly, there was nothing I could do but swear silently.

After finally parking the vehicle safely inside the circuit, the tester was rather stern in pointing out my mistakes. Well, he was actually screaming at me for at least three junctions. He wrote a lot of comments and ticked a couple of boxes on the marking sheet.
