Sleepy but busy
Keeping late nights on weekends is no good. No, I wasn’t playing mahjong. I was doing something else and that kept me rather awake. Anyway I was so stoned on Monday morning. But, the nap before my driving lesson helped to ensure the safety of other road users.
In case you forgot, my driving test is this Friday.
I wanted to do it discreetly and surprise everyone when I pass, but I guess I couldn’t keep my big mouth shut and my excitement at bay.
My last lesson was on 23 Sep, so it’s been more than two months since I’ve touched a steering wheel. Amazingly, my parking stunts were perfect. Ok, close to perfect. Really! It’s like I expected the instructor to shake his head and sigh for all he’s worth, but no! I parked the car nicely, properly, swee-sweely. I’m.. astonished! Speechless!
And the drivers on the road seemed especially friendly too. All gave way when I wanted to change lanes. Please please please, let this good luck last till my test.

Had dinner with an old friend last evening. And because he is so famous, it wasn’t really enjoyable.
It’s hard to enjoy dinner when people are crowding around you. Even though when you’re not the centre of attention. Hee.
Had dinner with Milk last evening at Tiong Bahru. His treat. Thanks.
Halfway through the dinner, I saw three girls loitering outside the restaurant from the corner of my eye. And when I turned ten minutes later, there was like a whole bunch of them outside. Whoa!
I can totally understand why they were doing it, and I can’t blame them too, cos they didn’t create too much trouble. Yes, the bunch of them blocking the way to the washroom let me through when I needed to pee, and they didn’t persist when I declined to take photos with them. Sorry huh, I was like in a mess, so didn’t want to take photos. But at least I left my signature somewhere. ![]()
Post dinner plans were changed again and again cos of the EIGHT vehicles chasing behind our Rav 4. Thanks to Connie for showing off her excellent driving skills. — I promise to do you proud when I take my test this Friday.
We ended up at km8 @ Sentosa, only after Milk’s manager persuaded the girls to go home. I think my name was mentioned in his long speech to the fans. Something about thank you for the support, but don’t create too much inconvenience when he’s having a night out with his friends. And they all went back home. Ok, maybe not home, but somewhere else, and not behind the Rav 4. See, I told ya, they were good girls who listened!
So when we were left alone, we had a good chat over a bottle of red wine. About his business, about phones, and oh yes, gossip about other celebrities. Hahaha.
We’ll probably talk more when I go to Taiwan in Jan 06.
