@ SSC

To the guys who’re waiting for my “smaller face”, my fitness plans have began.

Was at the offices of Singapore Sports Council @ National Stadium this afternoon, where I was warmly received by Elgen and his colleagues, including Rakel, Deputy Director for Sports Business Division. Wah! Paiseh leh! Next time no need to ask a Deputy Director to come out all the way for me lah.

The purpose of the visit was to see a doctor to ascertain my physical fitness. The medical team at the SSC mainly caters to National Athletes. The very important sportsmen and women who are tasked to bring home gold medals are all taken care of there. How privileged was I to step in there. And hor, it wasn’t just any doctor… Dr Teh was waiting for me. He’s Director for Sports Medicine/ Sports Science. Wah! Paiseh leh!

And I was further paiseh-ed when I was asked to take off my top for a series of tests to make sure I had no heart problems. I repeatedly told Nadia from Octagon, the PR agency managing the event “No photos of me topless huh!” Hahaha.

After making me cycle for what seemed like two hours (Reality check: Ten minutes only lah!), Dr Teh was pleased with my blood pressure and other results. After analyzing the condition of my heart under strenuous conditions, he gave me the green light to start training the next day.

And he said my legs, though unbalanced in length, shouldn’t pose a major problem.

“Huh?! Which one longer?”

Apparently my right leg is longer by 1cm.

Maybe that’s the reason why I fell down in my own toilet, and out of the bathtub in Taiwan. Hmmmm…
