To mark my return to the mornings, I had my ear pierced.

An exchange of SMSes shortly before the piercing:

Me:

Me going to pierce my ear now

V2:

Siao ah? Pierce for f? Hiao ah?

Me:

Ya, I’m Lao Beng… …

I thought of piercing my ear when I was in school, but I never got to do it. Just like I’ve not found a suitable motiff to tattoo on my left arm. I happened to walk past this shop just before dinner, and hey, the decision was made.

The guys at that shop on Level One in CompassPoint were pretty helpful and professional. Since I was a ear-piercing virgin, they explained the point of puncture was strategically positioned so that future piercings will be aligned nicely. Thanks. And I will remember not to take seafood for the next three weeks as they advised.

One morning down, many many more to go~~~~~

I’m back.

- exchanged a lot of name cards;

- made a lot of new friends;

- really bonded with my colleagues from other departments- we didn’t really have time to do that kind of bonding in office, so it was really cool.

- didn’t do any shopping- busy sleeping lah;

- checked into a room on the Executive Level at 4.30am cos my roommate kept me awake;

- realised that Sandy Lam has a powerful memory. Before I fully introduced myself, she exclaimed“我记得你！我上过你的节目！”. OMG. That was in 2002 ok..

- realised Sandy’s HK management guys are either deaf, stupid or plain rude. I requested to interview Sandy and they repeatedly pushed me. Lim Beh is going to thrash them on air tml.

More importantly, I realised Hosting is so much easier than coordinating. Can I be the 大会司仪 next year? Hahaha.

K, I gotta wake up at 5.30am from tml onwards.

After downing half a bottle of red wine last night, I’m having a freaking hangover now~

Think I’ll have more ops to drink over the weeekend. Hahaha.

We’re leaving for KL on Fri morning!
