Post Party Note
Like I mentioned before, I wasn’t too enthusiastic in throwing a party this year. Nonetheless, it went on, branded as a Mid Autumn Party.
And because it was a Mid Autumn Party I thought the only cake I’m going to have would be Mooncakes.
My mum who moonlights as mooncake seller during this season gladly provided those.
Me: 月饼好不好吃？
All: 好吃
Me: 听不到！月饼好不好吃？
All: 好吃！！！
真像签唱会。。。哈哈
Eventually, I ended with three cakes.
I mentioned to V2 a long long time ago that I wanted this Chocolate Star from Coffee Bean and Tea Leaves. But because I had a Giant Mahjong Cake last year, and I was out of town the previous two years, I only had it this year. Thanks for remembering!
When Jan heard that I didn’t get a cake, she had some plans of her own and came up with a cake she baked herself! Jan’s Chocolate Star! Woohoo!
The third cake came from How Han. Yummy Pandan cake that foreigners love, but we all take for granted.
And besides the three cakes, there’s a 4th one!
Cruz, being Cruz, tends to kao beh a little here and there. The food! The food! It sucks!

Reference to the catered dinner last evening, I wish to inform you that the quality of food was not up to the expectations of my guests.
The deep fried items had a distinctly hard texture; and the rice and noodles actually gave off a close to pungent smell after two hours, possibly indicating the (un)freshness of the dishes.
As your staff placed the tables directly against the wall, the tables were infested with ants even before the food was served, and subsequently resulting in ant-infested food as well.
As F&B is a crucial element of any gathering, I must say I was extremely disappointed about the standard of food served, especially when the cost was at $15 per head.
I look forward to a justification about the below average presentation last evening, and would like to seek a refund of at least 20% of the amount paid. Please note that I would decline any vouchers or payment in kind as my friends and I am are not likely to patronise [name of catering firm] in the near future.

My guests made do with the poor food and engrossed themselves with Mahjong, Heart Attack, lantern parades, idle gossips, etc. Thanks for coming everyone! Btw, the dress code seemed to be black hor. Alamak, I wear black to look slimmer, you all wear black for wad?
