End of the month
The month of June is ending soon… Was just re-browsing my entries for the month and realized this isn’t exactly a very good month.
Yeap, been overwhelmed by so many things that happened after I came back from Shanghai.
Being earmarked to host Pick of the Pops 醉心龙虎榜 sounds like a glam job to most. Yes, I agree with that. But you have absolutely no idea how much work goes on behind the scenes. And being sick on “Coronation Day” just dampened the mood by a few notches. But hey, 醉心龙虎榜榜主 is still a very cool title to have, so I can’t complain! Muahahahah
While I was away, two close friends ended their relationship. As I pieced the jigsaw together, I publicly demanded to know what the f the guy was thinking. Oh, that entry took a really long time to post– uppercased, bold, red font and all…
That was a controversial piece which triggered a series of comments and emotional outbursts. Friends with a grasp of the situation and blog readers who read one side of the story, thought it was unnecessary and that I was too harsh. It sort of ended after Art reminded me “not to bother about people’s problems cos we already have enough of our own”.
Speaking about being harsh, I sent a very harsh email last Sunday. Yes, blogging helps. The speed is remarkably faster and the thesaurus in Microsoft Word is a cool tool to have when you want to deliver a sibei formally written harsh email.
It’s not convenient to repeat the entire story here… Summary is: I was brutally betrayed by someone whom I thought was close to me. (Ya ya ya, my army mates would go: You think, you thought, who confirm?)
–I heard a rumour. (Nothing to do with “a broken heart”, and do not sing that song by Bananarama)
–I verified with the third party concerned.
–I got the answer I didn’t want to hear.
(If you’re a Bananarama fan and has started to sing I Heard A Rumour… Yes, “I didn’t know that person at all“, and “It’s never gonna be the same“)
In case you’re wondering, I don’t give people a second chance.
Haiyoh, very drama lah.
But let’s not talk about it here. Just like I filtered the part about 2 STUPID and/or ACT BLUR aunties who cut queue by standing THREE METRES in front of me and tried to hail a cab. Pretending to talk to each other non stop is not a good way to convince me that you can’t see a 1.8m tall person standing THREE METRES away from you.
I wanted to move on and stand ONE METRE in front of them to counter-cut, but I realised I was late, and thus proceeded to book a cab.
Very anti-climax. :/
As I was saying before I was rudely interrupted by the idiotic duo, June isn’t a very good month for me. Add on the persistent cough and the sore eye, hey! I think I have sufficient reasons to get the O2 XDA II Mini to pamper and console myself! Hahaha!
Was out at dinner at a Teochew restaurant with my family last evening… It’s called Hung Kang– which I thought had a hint of crudeness and vulgarity in it.
Because I changed mobile phones (due to many different reasons) at an average rate of 2 per year in the past 36 months, my 3rd uncle was going, “Huh?! You’re still carrying 6260? Sell it to me at $100 and get the latest one lah!”
That was when my 4th uncle mentioned that the XDA is going for less than $800 now. When I protested that I already have a PDA, and thus do not need the O2 gadget, my ever-so-cute 3rd Uncle suggested I throw in my Palm to make the $100 deal sweeter. Hmmm…
The fact that I won $150 this weekend over mahjong just made me more tempted to whip out my card.
*Red ALERT!*
Quick! Someone stop me!!!
Shucks. I said I “may need” a PA…
This is when I need him/her most!
