Someone’s Story
Had to abort my laundry plans yesterday… The washing machine’s down! *why is everything in my house falling apart?! There’s 7 days worth of dirty clothes man! I hope my CK boxers don’t disintegrate in there…
Was at Orchard this afternoon (Sunday, actually) for a couple of reasons…
1. PRESCRIPTIVES! I thought they had left for good. Apparently the Tangs counter is still open. Whew. The girl told me foundation sticks can last 3 years if unopened, so I got 10. Yeap. If anyone needs Warm Tawny 15, I can sell it to ya at a 50% mark-up.
Prior to this, I sent out plenty of distress signals… Peifen reported she couldn’t find it in Taipei. Leo said they didn’t have the shade I wanted in Melbourne. I myself combed at least 10 malls in Shanghai and returned empty handed.
Prior to the SOSes, I applied for vPost, as someone kindly advised earlier.. Later realised Px only delivers to US delivery AND billing addresses! Argh!
So you understand why there’s a 50% mark-up? =D
Anyway, I’m just relived this issue has a fullstop to it (for the time being).
*If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands, (come on everybody~) CLAP CLAP!
2. Someone isn’t very happy lately… To make Someone realise that the “A Friend in need is a Friend indeed” saying isn’t fiction, I told Someone to meet me in Orchard for my Px shopping trip. Yes, I told Someone to meet me, and not go through the formal “Are you free? Wanna meet?” kind of SMS exchange.
Someone didn’t mention anything…
Not on the cab,
Not in the supermarket while we were getting stuff for my “Detox Sunday”,
Not in Bt Timah while having Milo Dinosaur…
In fact, it was through Someone Else, I knew of Someone’s predicament.
Frankly, I am pretty much speechless by what Someone went through the last couple of months. Not only Someone went on an emotional rollercoaster, people around Someone went through the same thing. (Ok, not exactly the same thing, but a couple of friends were directly and indirectly affected by the turn of events.) There are a couple of unsolved mysteries related to the saga, but I don’t think I will actually ask “So, what happened huh?”.
I’ve known Someone for over a decade now. If Someone wants me to know something, Someone will naturally tell.
I just hope Someone will smile.
A smile from the heart.
I’m not gonna spew cliche phrases to highlight the meaning of friendship, go through the kind of things you’d write in a primary school autograph book, or worse, shout Friendship Forever.
Cos Someone knows there’s always Cruz.
Whether it’s popping champagne, or shedding tears…
Whether it’s accepting mahjong invitations at the 11th hour, or cursing morons (oh, i excel at both!)…
Someone and Cruz are “Friends Forever!” (Shucks, I just did it..)
P/S 1 : Someone: I’m very boh eng this week, but I’m always contactable via phone. And oh ya, you know my schedule for the entire week right? As usual, Morning calls two hours in advance ok? Thanks.
