I’ve finally finished watching War and Beauty at 4am this morning. Whew. Took me like 3 sleepless nights to complete the entire series.. Why why why?! Why isn’t there a sequel? I’d love to see Concubine Ru pit her wits against the Evil Empress.

Got up really early this morning for another birthday surprise visit at ITE Bishan. The cab driver was really irritating. He overheard me talking to Jan, and kept asking me why she would want to go to Ikea for lunch. He proceeded to tell me he “has not eaten for a long time”.. I’m like “Huh?!”.

Even though I whipped out my copy of 8 Days and made it clear I don’t wanna to carry on with the conversation, he bugged me with questions like what subjects I was taking at the ITE, etc. Hmm, apparently he doesn’t know ITE students have to wear uniforms.

I definitely have a problem with over enthusiastic taxi uncles. Can you imagine me explaining why I go to MediaCorp everyday? On Mons, I’m a marketing exec. Tues, I become a HR Manager. Weds, I work at the IT Department. I try not to mention a job appointment at TV/ Radio in case they ask me if I’ve seen Fann Wong. So what if I’ve seen her? Does it, in any way fuel your fantasies about her?

Serene, my poly mate will be so pleased to hear yet another of my taxi uncle encounters. Being regular cab passengers, we used to trade stories and competed to see who had worse luck. If I ever publish a book on that, it’ll be dedicated to her.
