My countdown has ended and my new life has began! Woohoo!

Think I surprised a couple of friends when I appeared online shortly after 1pm. “Wah?! So early?” Yup, would have slept some more if I didn’t have to reach the studios at 3pm to finish up some recording and production.

Basking in the afternoon sun as I waited for a taxi wasn’t something I was used to. Going to the office in a meticulously ironed shirt and combed hair wasn’t something I’ve done for a long time. I guessed I must have been glowing with joy? Question of the day was “Why you so happy?!? ” The other 10% told me to wipe the smirk off my face. That included Lingzhi who couldn’t stand me walking into the studios with a bag of letters. She told me I should be doing a power packed morning or evening drive time show, instead of shaking legs and reading dedications. Hahaha.

For the past two years, my mum gave me morning calls at 5:30am. (When I say morning calls, I mean she calls at 0530, then again at 0545 and/or 0550,0555,0600 to check if i’m really awake) Presumably to celebrate the end of her agony, she had flowers, chocs and a little bear delivered to my office. It’s now on display (aka show off) in the 933 studio. Ahhh.. so sweet. Thank you so much.

28 Feb is almost like the 1st day of school. Cept that you can go to the tuckshop with your friends during recess in school, I can only go to the water cooler with Jamie Yeo. Thanks to Lingzhi and her Rav4, I had roti john! I prayed silently that Lingzhi’s friends will never ever ask her out for dinner so that she will drive out to buy dinner (inclusive of my supper) and return to the studios to do her production.

Contrary to my bosses’ advice of “eat less, exercise more“, I picked up a tuna bun on my way home… The kind ladies at Sony-BMG offered me a ride in their chartered vehicle after Huang Yida’s interview with Peifen. We dropped by a petrol station upon Yida’s request. That’s where I happily picked up the bun. That was like 2 hours after the roti john and 5 hours after my dinner. I reasoned it was ok since I didn’t consume breakfast and lunch.

Hmmm…maybe “reasoned” isn’t the most correct word to use in this sentence.
