Yeah Yeah! It’s Friday! Or rather, it’s Sat midnight…
This past week has been a relatively relaxed one… For once, I didn’t have any outdoor engagements this past week. which gave me enough time to be (excessively) obsessed with my computer..
Right.. I’m not going to blah about my computer.. but it’s driving my IT-savvy kakis crazy.. Q1 comes via MSN Messenger, Q2 via email, Q3 via SMS, Q4-6 in via HP (at 1am, no less)
Just came back from 地下铁–音乐剧. (Surprise! No Mahjong!)
Haven’t been a great fan of 几米. I know pple who are crazy over 几米 and his works.
I have this friend who collects the transit system tickets from Taiwan (their version of our MRT).. We were like playing Tikam…standing in front of the machine, with her praying feverishly for a ticket featuring 几米’s works. Thanks to her (and 几米), I got plenty of free rides using tickets featuring orbit commercials..
Anyway, I didn’t know much about the story.. I didn’t read the book.. I didn’t watch the movie… I only read “向左走向右走” (not because of the movie lah huh…I read it prior to the filming of the movie. And boy, I was damn disappointed with it - the movie, I mean) and “月亮不见了”..
As much as I appreciate the sets.. and the atmosphere.. (1st time in Esplanade Theatre! Suaku me.. only been there for F&B..) ..erm… Should I say “I didn’t know how to appreciate it…” or “It’s an acquired taste…”
I applauded the cast for their efforts, especially this supporting actress who, in my personal opinion, stole the show with her performance as a toy soldier and penguin. the behind-the-scenes-pple for their magnificent sets..
But when it gets to “the morale behind the story/ summarise the plot in a couple of sentences…“, I really have to pass.
