Ninth Day
Wow.. It’s been a whirlwind week. Into the 9th day of 2005, I have completed 7 outdoor shows.
Was at Junction 8 on Fri night, after hosting Angela Chang’s Campus Concert..
Went into Thai Express and ordered my usual prawn omelette with rice (S/No 6107). I don’t know what happened, and I said 6102 to the waiter. So when 6102- pineapple rice was served, I was surprised. Upon verification, I realised I said the wrong no. Alamak! Paiseh!
I thought, “Fine, I’ll just take 6102 then..” But the manager was sooOo nice.. He insisted that I changed the order to what I actually wanted. Woo. Thanks so much. Very apologetic.. And extremely appreciative.
Wish the outlet at Siglap can offer the same standard of service.. (p/s: no i didn’t make a wrong order there, it’s a different story..)
Over dinner, I suddenly remembered YANZI was due to appear in 15mins time!! Yah.. the charity drive for tsunami victims was held at J8 Atrium and Yanzi had agreed to make an appearance! I gobbled down my 6107 (and some thai calamari, and some thai green curry, and the usual glass of Coke) in 10 minutes, and rushed up to Level 2.
Yanzi was carrying the cash box, appealing for donations. Was dragged on stage, and labelled as “Yanzi supporter, who rushed down to see Yanzi“. Haha.
Towards the end of the show, I asked “Will you all donate more if we ask Yanzi to sing?” And guess what, I was arrowed (by duno who la!- the scene so rowdy…) to kick off the next round of donations…
I said to Yanzi “你是天后。。。我只放100块钱,你会不会觉得很侮辱。。。”
“风停又吹………” She sang 同类, to the delight of the audience. And me.
Have you guys done something yet? There are 101 ways you can be involved.
Thank you.
